Launching#
How many transactions does a launch take?
One. Your wallet signs a single transaction that creates the token, its pool and your optional first buy (including the swap from SOL on a non-SOL pair). If a launch would need more than one, it is rejected instead. Details
What does it cost to launch?
There is no Shares launch fee. You pay Solana network fees and the rent for the new accounts, plus your optional initial buy in SOL. Launch costs
Why can’t I launch yet?
A launch needs a pair that shows Pair ready and an operational fee router. If yours shows Pair preparing, press Prepare pair and wait for its Meteora config. Current wallet profiles do not require a holder rewards program. Preparing a pair
Do creators earn trading fees?
No. The creator fee is 0%. New launches route both former allocations to the disclosed fee wallet.
What is the difference between the trading fee options?
2% to fee wallet: 2.5% total fee, 0% to holders, 2% to the fee wallet; 4% to fee wallet: 5% total fee, 0% to holders, 4% to the fee wallet. The choice is fixed at launch. Fees
Can I change the name, image or links after launch?
No. Token metadata is immutable once the token exists, so check the Review panel before you sign. Token metadata
Can a creator change fees or mint more tokens later?
No. Fees live in an immutable Meteora config, and nobody keeps mint or metadata authority after launch.
Pairs and paying in SOL#
Do I need the pair asset to buy a token?
No. Buys are paid in SOL on every pair. On a non-SOL pair the same transaction swaps your SOL to the pair asset through Jupiter and then buys, with one signature. Sells can pay out in SOL the same way. Paying in SOL
If I pay in SOL, are fees and rewards in SOL too?
Only on SOL pairs. The Meteora pool takes the trading fee in the pair asset after the swap, and the fee wallet receives that asset. The Jupiter swap adds its own price impact, and your slippage setting applies to it. Fees
Which pairs can I choose?
Listed pairs in the Solana, Currencies, xStocks, PreStocks, Tessera, Sunrise · Backpack, Leverage, Collectibles and Crypto categories, or any custom mint that passes the pair validator. Pairs
Are tokenized stock pairs real stocks?
No. xStocks, PreStocks and Tessera pair assets are tokens issued by third parties. They are not shares of the company. Tokenized equities
Rewards#
Do new launches pay holder rewards?
No. Both former allocations go to the designated fee wallet. The holder reward mechanics below describe earlier profiles.
What do I need to do to earn rewards?
Hold the token in your wallet. There is nothing to stake or register. Your share is weighted by balance and time held. Balance-seconds
What are rewards paid in?
The pair asset: a token paired with SOL pays SOL, one paired with a stablecoin pays that stablecoin.
When can I claim?
Rewards settle every 30 minutes by default. Once an epoch's root is published you can claim any time. Entitlements are cumulative, so waiting never loses rewards.
Why is my claimable amount zero right after I bought?
Rewards are allocated when an epoch closes and its root is published, and a late buy earns only the seconds it was held. Check again after the next epoch.
Do pools, the treasury or burned tokens earn rewards?
No. Pool vaults and authorities, the burn address and Shares' own role accounts are excluded. Who does not earn
Is claiming live?
Not yet. The rewards distributor program has not been deployed, so the Claim button stays disabled until it is.
Trading and graduation#
Why did my trade fail with a slippage error?
The price moved more than your slippage setting allowed between quote and execution, on the pool or on the Jupiter swap. Retry, trade smaller, or raise slippage in Settings. Slippage
What happens at graduation? Do I need to do anything?
No action needed. The curve's liquidity moves into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool, trading continues on the same page with the same fee profile and recipient. Graduation
Can anyone pull the liquidity?
No. 100% of liquidity is permanently locked at graduation. Its fees can be claimed; the liquidity cannot be withdrawn.
Platform#
What is $SHARES?
The Shares platform token. It has not launched yet. New launches send 0% of each trade to buybacks; only legacy markets accumulate a buyback share for it. $SHARES
Which network is this?
Solana mainnet.
Can Shares move my funds?
No. Every transaction needs your wallet's signature, and reward vaults only pay out through valid claims. What Shares can and cannot do
