Fees
One flat fee on every trade, collected in the pair asset, including on buys paid in SOL. The creator picks the fee profile at launch and it never changes. Every number on this page is computed from the same fee code the platform runs.
Fee per profile#
Percentages of the trade amount. The small figure is the share of the trading fee itself.
| Destination | 2% to fee wallet | 4% to fee wallet |
|---|---|---|
| Total trading fee | 2.5% | 5% |
| Meteora protocol | 0.5%20% of fee | 1%20% of fee |
| Designated fee wallet | 2%80% of fee | 4%80% of fee |
| Holders, in the pair asset | 0%0% of fee | 0%0% of fee |
| $SHARES buyback | 0%0% of fee | 0%0% of fee |
| Creator | 0% | 0% |
Two steps produce these numbers. Meteora's DBC program keeps 20% of the gross fee as its protocol fee. The remaining 80% is the Shares-side fee, split by the profile:
| Shares-side fee | 2% to fee wallet | 4% to fee wallet |
|---|---|---|
| Designated fee wallet | 100% | 100% |
| Holders, in the pair asset | 0% | 0% |
| $SHARES buyback | 0% | 0% |
Worked example: a 10 SOL buy#
A token paired with SOL. On a buy the fee comes off the SOL you pay in; the rest goes into the curve. On a sell the same percentages apply to the gross SOL coming out of the curve, and you receive the remainder.
| 2% to fee wallet | 4% to fee wallet | |
|---|---|---|
| You pay | 10 SOL | 10 SOL |
| Trading fee | 0.25 SOL | 0.5 SOL |
| → Meteora | 0.05 SOL | 0.1 SOL |
| → Designated fee wallet | 0.2 SOL | 0.4 SOL |
| → Holders, in SOL | 0 SOL | 0 SOL |
| Goes into the curve | 9.75 SOL | 9.5 SOL |
Token amounts are integers on chain. Meteora's share is rounded down. The designated wallet receives the entire remaining Shares-side fee, including rounding dust.
Where the money goes#
- 1Collected on chainThe Meteora pool takes the fee in the pair asset on every trade. Meteora keeps its 20%; the Shares-side 80% accrues to Shares’ fee-claimer account.
- 2Claimed by the keeperThe Shares keeper claims accrued fees once they are worth claiming. On the curve, the claim and wallet transfer happen in one atomic transaction. After graduation it claims the locked position’s fees, waits for confirmation, then transfers the exact amount to the designated wallet.
- 3Designated wallet2% or 4% of every trade goes to the designated wallet, including both the treasury and former holder-reward allocations.
- 4HoldersNew wallet profiles allocate 0% or 0% to holders and do not fund reward vaults. Earlier holder profiles keep their original routing. Holder rewards
Closed and legacy profiles#
These profiles are not available for new launches. Markets created on them keep their original fee and split; routing and display always use each market's stored profile.

- The buyback share of legacy markets accumulates per pair asset. It is swapped for $SHARES and burned in one transaction once a safe route exists; with no viable route it waits rather than trading at a bad price.
- $SHARES has not launched yet, so legacy buyback balances are accumulating and no buybacks have run.
- Live buyback balances are on the $SHARES page.
